The Kansas City Royals signed a multiyear deal with Academy Sports + Outdoors, which will open two stores in the Kansas City area in the summer and create 300 jobs.
Academy Sports offers team sports and golf products, footwear and apparel, along with hunting, fishing and camping gear. It plans to open stores in Overland Park and Olathe.
