INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Police are searching for one man and have a second in custody after an officer-involved shooting at an Independence motel. Authorities were called to the EconoLodge, at 13712 E. 42nd Terr., around noon on reports of a burglary. When they arrived, one of the suspects fired at police.
