Ford Motor Co. plans to hire 900 workers and add a third shift at its Claycomo, Mo., plant to meet demand for its best-selling F-150 pickup trucks.
The new jobs are to be announced this morning at the plant, about 10 miles northeast of Kansas City, by Joe Hinrichs, president of the Americas for Ford, and Gov. Jay Nixon, the Kansas City Star reports.
